Ketchikan | Sunday, Jun 16, 2024 | Sunday, Jun 16, 2024 |
Ketchikan is known as "Alaska's First City" because it's the first major community travelers come to as they travel north. The city is built on steep hillsides and is billed as salmon capital of the world. A quaint village, the town is three miles long and three blocks wide. With fishing boats sailing in and float planes ascending from the water, this seaside town is bustling with activity. With the world's largest collection of totem poles, Totem Bight State Historical Park offers insight into various native cultures of the Pacific Northwest. These wood-carved creations tell colorful, intricate tales – often showing a family history or depicting a local legend. Ketchikan has many options for adventure of relaxation, including mountain bike tours, sea kayaking, seaplane riding, or strolling down the boardwalk of Creek Street, Ketchikan's most famous section with a historic cable car and quaint boutiques. Blessed with an abundance of hiking trails, Ketchikan offers many breathtaking vistas, including the panoramic, 360-degree view from the top of Deer Mountain.
Endicott Arm | Monday, Jun 17, 2024 | Monday, Jun 17, 2024 |
Endicott Arm, a 20-mile long fjord, has been compared to Yosemite with sheer granite cliffs, waterfalls and breathtaking mountain peaks. Less travelled than Tracy Arm, but just as spectacular.
Juneau | Monday, Jun 17, 2024 | Monday, Jun 17, 2024 |
Juneau is one of America's most beautiful state capitals, with the looming summits of Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts providing a gorgeous backdrop. Once part of Alaska's Gold Rush, the city boasts natural and manmade attractions. Downtown is filled with many vibrant buildings, including must-see St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, which houses artwork and artifacts dating back to the 18th century. From the bright mural in Marine Park to the carvings in House of Wickersham, downtown is filled with Alaska's own unique brand of culture and architecture. Often hailed as Juneau's most impressive sight, nearby Mendenhall Glacier is approximately 12 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. See the glacier on a float trip or a "flightseeing" adventure, or hike up one of its trails for a closer inspection. For a bird's-eye view, the Mt. Roberts Tramway offers a short, six-minute trek to the top of Mt. Roberts, 1800 feet above the city. If wildlife is your passion, scenic Admiralty Island has the world's highest concentration of brown bears.
Skagway | Tuesday, Jun 18, 2024 | Tuesday, Jun 18, 2024 |
This "Gateway to the Klondike" watched as fortune-seekers headed to Chilkoot and White Pass Trails during Alaska's Gold Rush. Today, feel like a prospector in Skagway, as you walk along its rustic boardwalks and frontier-style storefronts. This cozy town offers a pleasant respite from the hustle and bustle of most cities. With classic cars and one of the oldest narrow-gauge railroads in the world, the city retains the flavor of days gone by and remains an important link to Alaska's history. A stroll down Broadway is a must. Highlights include Arctic Brotherhood Hall. Other buildings like the Trail of '98 Museum, Corrington's Museum of Alaskan History and the Alaskan Wildlife Adventure and Museum present different facets of prospecting times. Before hitting famous Chilkoot Trail, there are other well-marked trails to try. Hiking to Lower Dewey Lake is an easy, 20-minutes, and there are more adventurous trails to remote Sturgill's Landing, Upper Dewey Lake and Devil's Punchbowl. The White Pass Scenic Railway and Eagle Preserve Wildlife Quest provide additional options.
Inside Passage | Tuesday, Jun 18, 2024 | Tuesday, Jun 18, 2024 |
Imagine being confronted with a myriad of mysterious channels. Following each fjord to the interior, encounter massive mountain ranges, towering cliffs, tumbling waterfalls, virginal forests of two-hundred foot tall spruce, while whales, bears, seals, salmon, eagles and other wildlife. Always they were stopped by an inevitable face of ice - glaciers pushing inexorably downward to meet the sea. What must have been a mapmaker's nightmare is today cherished as the continent's last great untouched wilderness, harbouring the world's largest temperate rain forest. An Eden of the North to captivate the every modern-day explorer. The string of islands of the Inside Passage create a protective barrier to the open sea running from the Washington State/Canadian border and the bottom of Vancouver Island all the way up to the top of Chichagof Island, where the Gulf of Alaska begins its curve westward, offering a supremely serene cruising environment in some of the most dramatic surroundings on earth.

Unique attractions include Undersea Gardens, Miniature World, Maritime Museum, Chinatown and Royal London Wax Museum. Submit Your Own Review!Excellent service , friendly staff, good food, room was good size with a great deck
Pros: Excellent service , friendly staff, good food, room was good size with a great deck
Cons: The only con is having to pay extra for the speciality restaurants.. which btw were really good!
Review: I would personally do different excursions due to the overcrowding on the two we purchased. Great view from all sides of the ship..port valet to our luggage to the airport for us which was super nice and convenient! Definitely would do a celebrity cruise again!
Friendly helpful crew including dining room staff, wine steward and cabin attendant. clean attractive ship
Pros: Friendly helpful crew including dining room staff, wine steward and cabin attendant. clean attractive ship
Cons: No Cons
Review: Guest services as well as the stateroom attendant solved the problem with my luggage.
Excellent service, food, and accommodations
Pros: Excellent service, food, and accommodations
Cons: No Cons
Review: It would help to schedule shows slightly later to allow 5:30 dining to not be rushed.
The staff, service, dining options, port activities, staterooms, layout of the ship
Pros: The staff, service, dining options, port activities, staterooms, layout of the ship
Cons: Would prefer a different location on the ship next time (between the stairways), but we booked late
Review: Our family included 2 parents and 2 teenage boys. We reserved 2 cabins in Aquaclass right next to each other which worked perfectly. Aquaclass gave us exclusive access to Blu, where we had dinner every night. We loved it. We booked a couple of shore excursions through the ship the day of, and that worked out great. We knew what the weather would be. We also booked our own excursions when we got to a couple of ports, and that worked out great as well. We all had the opportunity to relax or socialize with others. Our high school graduate was at an in between age for activities, but found his groove with activities as the trip progressed. There were many areas of the ship that felt open and uncrowded, if you wanted to meet others, hang out, or read a book. The staff was very welcoming and warm. We lucked out on the weather. There was perhaps one day of misty rain, but not at any of the ports. There were folks in the hot tubs, and some in the pool. I hit the thermal spa instead (included in Aquaclass).
Beautiful ship, Great staff, Great amendment, Great friends old and new
Pros: Beautiful ship, Great staff, Great amendment, Great friends old and new
Cons: NONE
Review: Fantastic trip
Clean ship, wonderful staff, great food
Pros: Clean ship, wonderful staff, great food
Cons: Medical emergency prevented us from seeing Dawes glacier and Endicott arm.
Review: Excellent trip highly recommend
Great room/staff
Pros: Great room/staff
Cons: none
Review: This was our first cruise, and our room had a little veranda with a window that we could put down. It was great for the Dawes Glacier view and pictures instead of standing up on deck with scores of other people. The one thing I would caution, and if you are a seasoned cruiser, you know this, pack cold remedies. All in all we had a great time, saw some beautiful scenery and of course those whales.
Balcony, showers, dining options, solarium chairs with cushions, storage
Pros: Balcony, showers, dining options, solarium chairs with cushions, storage
Cons: Food hit and miss, not consistent, miss promenade/pub on Royal Carr.
Review: Except for lobster/filet night in Blue, steaks very disappointing. Desserts were mediocre. Red velvet cake was horrible, even Color was wrong. Most desserts were so so. Whoever made croissants and hummus- best things I ate all week. Loved pasta station on buffet, fabulous. Our room steward, Jadyson was outstanding!!
1) The ENTIRE crew 2) Elegance, Cleanliness and Beauty of the ship 3) Food (my god the food!)! 4) Edge Entertainers and Orchestra 5) Wide array of activities. There were so many I couldn't possibly list them all!
Pros: 1) The ENTIRE crew 2) Elegance, Cleanliness and Beauty of the ship 3) Food (my god the food!)! 4) Edge Entertainers and Orchestra 5) Wide array of activities. There were so many I couldn't possibly list them all!
Cons: 1) Hard sell at the spa even after I spent quite a bit on services to begin with. 2) Group fitness room was too small but the gym itself was fabulous!
Review: Had an amazing time on the Edge from Sydney to Honolulu. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun! The Cruise Director, Giuseppe (and Dominic as well) were so entertaining and fun! The Captain was very communicative and didn't hesitate to engage with everyone. I can' t think of any crew member that didn't greet us with a smile and hello every time we saw them! OK maybe one but we broke him by the end of the cruise! lol. Our cabin was cleaned so quickly every single morning and our cabin steward Loreen did it with a smile. Even if she was in someone elses room cleaning up if she saw us pass she would yell.....HELLOOOOOOOO! The organization of the tenders was really a sight to watch, so well done. Entertainment by the Edge Singers, Dancers & Band were so so so good. The rest of the entertainers were a bit uneven but even they were pretty good!
Good food, excellent service. Great entertainment. Stunning ship!
Pros: Good food, excellent service. Great entertainment. Stunning ship!
Cons: 2 rather than 3 elevators(the usual) can make for a long walk. The Infinite balconies is not for everyone. Smpunts yo more cabin space bs try being able to be outdoors. I also don’t like there being no Skypunge area in front of the ship to see ahead.
Review: Overall a very good, classy ship.
Beautiful Ports of Call
Pros: Beautiful Ports of Call
Cons: Too Many Passengers and Bad Wifi
Review: Re: Wifi - Celebrity should NOT even offer this Basic package, which meant nothing other than texts on WhatsApp worked. Texting through Kakao Talk, e.g., broke down for some folks. No video and no photos. What kind of useless Wifi is it in this day and age? It's a shame even to refer to it as "Wifi." You should call it WhatsApp Texting. Better yet, don't offer the Basic package. Food was generally good, but salty. Need to use less salt. In places like Portofino, releasing close to 3000 people from Edge into tiny towns like that really could not be managed well. At Palma, we had Edge and MSC, where passengers came off the ship almost the same time (8000 people?). Celebrity needs to rethink these ports and their ships and coordination w/ other cruise lines for crowd mgmt. Not sure what % of people from Celebrity went to Cinque Terre from La Spezia (we did), but some of these tiny towns were just being overrun by people. And, I suspect Edge played a fairly significant role in adding to the crowd issue. For these small towns like Portofino and Cinque Terre, Celebrity needs to offer smaller ships.
Beautiful boat, food was good and very clean
Pros: Beautiful boat, food was good and very clean
Cons: No Cons
Review: Overall this boat exceeded my expectations from the food to the staff and the cleanliness. The entertainment was next level and we will continue to go on Celebrity.
Great staff, great food, great retreat suite
Pros: Great staff, great food, great retreat suite
Cons: No Cons
Review: Loved our stay in Retreat Suite. Beautiful room, great pool dining areas and wonderful lounge with exceptional concierge service. Would highly recommend. We put a deposit down on another cruise !
Entertainment. Stateroom. Staff.Eden. Cruise and Director. Ship Activities.
Pros: Entertainment. Stateroom. Staff.Eden. Cruise and Director. Ship Activities.
Cons: Restaurant reservation system. Excursions that promote purchases, poor value.
Review: Cleanliness of ship exceptional. Entertainment was as good as we have ever seen. Friendly staff. Giuseppe stands out as one of the best cruise directors we have had! Excursion value in all ports on the ship should be addressed. Additional area to get speciality coffees.
New ship, very different in features and design
Pros: New ship, very different in features and design
Cons: Way too many guests, did not like the fact you had no Verhanda
Review: I love Celebrity brand, however I did not enjoy this ship. Too many people, took forever to get elevators, food was mediocre at best, did not have a main dining room, 4 smaller restaurants requiring reservations. Could not find brochure in room that explained the ship and where to find things, charge for room service (other than continental breakfast), never saw SR leaders around the ship. Music in all venues was very loud.
Food, entertainment, ship layout , friendly employees
Pros: Food, entertainment, ship layout , friendly employees
Cons: Pre cruise reservations, hygiene
Review: Food was amazing! Entertainment was mostly great. Loved the ship and the employees. The pre cruise reservations for specialty restaurants was horrendous. They have to figure this out. Had sinks to wash hands going into buffet but no one washed. Have to force that.
The infinity veranda is spectacular
Pros: The infinity veranda is spectacular
Cons: Still a little slow with service
Review: We absolutely loved the infinity veranda and spent a lot of the days at sea reading and relaxing in our room since it was so beautiful. The Eden cafe was our favorite lunch spot since the salads were prepared fresh and the sandwiches made in front of you.
Still a beautiful ship. Love the infinite veranda and had good to excellent food in the restaurants. An interesting itinerary.
Pros: Still a beautiful ship. Love the infinite veranda and had good to excellent food in the restaurants. An interesting itinerary.
Cons: Staff seemed undertrained and there were supply issues in some venues. Bad experience with the maitre’d in Blu. Chaotic shore excursion in Cartagena (other excursions were good).
Review: We did our second cruise on Celebrity Edge, third on the Edge series and fifth Celebrity cruise overall (36 total from all cruise lines). We enjoyed the days at sea and had good excursions on Grand Cayman, in Curacao, and on Bonaire. We missed an excursion in Aruba due to very loud street noise nearly all night near where we were docked (beginning of Carnival). We had a horrid excursion that was not a fun day in Cartagena (a misnamed Hop-On/Hop-Off tour). We ate at three speciality restaurants, with the Fine Cut Steakhouse being the best meal on the entire cruise; food was good to great for most meals. Our stateroom was well-maintained (minor issues resolved immediately) and we love the infinite veranda. On the negative side: Staff is poorly trained (many seemed new to their jobs) and there are language barriers; there were issues with getting certain drinks and in the right glasses at some of the bars; the ship has some overall maintenance issues (e.g., visible rust, damaged floors, Magic Carpet that only stayed on one floor and had only one function). We had a very negative experience with an arrogant and rude maitre’d in Blu (the hostess wasn’t much better - the wait staff was good) and we wrote this up to send to Celebrity. He belittled people and argued with them and was insufferable when we tried to have a table for 8 on the last night. Overall, it was a very good cruise, not the greatest cruise we have been on. We still would recommend these ships.
Veranda staterooms
Pros: Veranda staterooms
Cons: dining, entertainment, on-board stores
Review: Didn't really care for the 4-dining room concept. Best to make a reservation a day prior (two max) or you could be standing in line, waiting to be seated. By not having an assigned dinner table, the wait staff doesn't get to know you and your preferences. Often, just a waiter to serve our table; no asst. waiter (bus boy). A knowledgeable sommelier was non-existent. A number of wines we wanted were out of stock. Food was great except for the first day meal that gave my wife food poisoning. Because of that (and a queasy stomach), did not walk the ship very much. Concierge class veranda cabin was nice. On-board stores were "high-end" and not for the majority of passengers. Had prior booked another cruise on the Edge in March 2023 but after that, it's the Solstice class ships for us.
Service
Pros: Service
Cons: Skip Naples, I have no idea why you would give that city any tourists. They didn't care if we were there.Excursions were too long. I was traveling with my mother & there weren't any excursions we could do that interested us.
Review: Loved everything!!
Staff, staterooms, food, weather, ports of call
Pros: Staff, staterooms, food, weather, ports of call
Cons: Entertainment, limited hours
Review: We found the entertainment in the theater uninspired but the music around the ship was pretty good overall. For the mentioned Pros consider them all excellent as I do not want to break them all down. The biggest Con was limited hours (likely due to staffing issues but that is a guess). During the day the only place to grab a drink was the pool bar as interior restaurants and "bars" didn't open until after 4pm and most of them not until after 6pm. Overall this was an excellent trip with very limited 'cons"
Great cities and excursions to go with them!
Pros: Great cities and excursions to go with them!
Cons: Not enough time to enjoy the whole ship!
Review: We had top shelf service on board! Every employee were outstanding! Meals were elegantly served and most delicious as well! It was the most incredible vacation experience!

Everything
Pros: Everything
Cons: NA
Review: Best trip ever. The food, the room, the service and the activities were 5 Star. The crew made it their point to take care of you. We felt very safe and the ship was very, very clean. Don't delay, if you are considering booking on the Celebrity Edge. It's the best vacation you will take.
Wonderful staff, captain very personal, ship not crowded
Pros: Wonderful staff, captain very personal, ship not crowded
Cons: Excursion “land and sea” in Tortola was not good
Review: Would seek out captain Tazos for our next cruise
Excellent service, engaging ship captain and a professional crew
Pros: Excellent service, engaging ship captain and a professional crew
Cons: Nassau shore stop not up to standard
Review: Excellent vacation with an entertaining Ship Captain, excellent food services and crew
Great rooms loved the infinity rooms. Loved pool, atrium and spa. Fine Cut Steakhouse was awesome! Martini bar wonderful. Shows/performers were exceptional
Pros: Great rooms loved the infinity rooms. Loved pool, atrium and spa. Fine Cut Steakhouse was awesome! Martini bar wonderful. Shows/performers were exceptional
Cons: Port calls were short. Casino small and machines don't pay out much. Would have liked more small pubs and places to watch sports. Would have liked more diverse activities
Review: Beautiful Ship. Personable Captain.
The ship is beautiful and the food was great. The entertainment was and the men a women were very helpful and polite
Pros: The ship is beautiful and the food was great. The entertainment was and the men a women were very helpful and polite
Cons: The only thing that was a little disappointed was the room - the bed was so big that it didn't leave much room. The next time I would prefer the bed be closer to the bathroom to leave us more room
Review: Everything was first class and the crew were terrific
Beautiful and most caring staff I could imagine.
Pros: Beautiful and most caring staff I could imagine.
Cons: Not enough time to do all
Review: Wonderful experience

Review: Totally disconnected and relaxed!
Infinity Balcony; Eden; Spa Thermal Suite; Food; Diverse and Interesting Entertainment; Open and New feeling all around the ship; Bathroom in cabin was much roomier; the App was very helpful; Service from all crew members remains a Celebrity signature
Pros: Infinity Balcony; Eden; Spa Thermal Suite; Food; Diverse and Interesting Entertainment; Open and New feeling all around the ship; Bathroom in cabin was much roomier; the App was very helpful; Service from all crew members remains a Celebrity signature
Cons: Gelato moved to OceanView thus eliminating my favorite drink in Cafe Al Bacio, No hooks anywhere in the cabin; There are no reading lights over the bed; makeup mirror lighting poor; dividers in drawers not necessary; safe seemed to be too small; TV does not swivel
Review: Overall, the feel of Edge was terrific. The open public spaces are used well and the wall signs made for easy navigation on each deck. We thought the entertainment was especially geared for our generation...lots of Rock and music from the 60's and 70's. Service in Blu was once again first class. Don't quite understand the location of Blu with the lifeboats blocking the view, but it did not detract from the feel of the restaurant. Specialty dining in Eden was a spectacular experience. We had lunch in Raw on Five, also a great experience. The Sea Thermal Suite with the new rooms meant a great experience every day. Everyone on The Edge was well aware of the Coronavirus and precautions were taken at all times. We look forward to our next Edge cruise.
The staff, the ship itself. The captain.
Pros: The staff, the ship itself. The captain.
Cons: Bar service in Solarium was non-existent. Previous sailings had salmon bar, at lunch buffet, every day. This sailing only had it once and guests were looking for it.
Review: Loved the ship
Service, shows,boarding and unboarding
Pros: Service, shows,boarding and unboarding
Cons: Slightly obstructed views
Review: Enjoyed the cruise. Third time on Celebrity
Excellent Service, Food, Modern Staterooms.
Pros: Excellent Service, Food, Modern Staterooms.
Cons: Blu disappointing (noisy/small/no ocean view), Entertainment was very limited and not for a Celebrity crowd.
Review: If you like Aqua Class with the Blu restaurant, you are better off on the Solstice class ships. Blu restaurant was small and very noisy with only a view of the life boats. Evening entertainment was better this time than a year ago but still very limited; ship's productions (which are still very weird) or comedians. Think we will stick with the Reflection or Silhouette.
Great Ship, Staff, Service, and Food!!! The ports were all Great!!!
Pros: Great Ship, Staff, Service, and Food!!! The ports were all Great!!!
Cons: Couldn't think of any.
Review: This was one of our most memorable vacations. I look forward to visit some of the other parts of the world on the Celebrity Cruise Line.
All staff were very attentive. Loved Eden and the Roof Garden and the outdoor pool.
Pros: All staff were very attentive. Loved Eden and the Roof Garden and the outdoor pool.
Cons: Food in cafe was somewhat repetitive, chicken overdone, music in cafe was too loud. While I'm eating, I. would prefer quieter music and better lighting. The restaurants were fine.
Review: The shows put on by the on-ship performers were adequate but not what I would call excellent. The music talent brought in were great. The stateroom was much more than I expected and offered some very nice features that were not present on the "Celebrity" we were on last year.
Beautiful ship, comfortable staterooms, wonderful shows,
Pros: Beautiful ship, comfortable staterooms, wonderful shows,
Cons: Very small veranda, having restaurants instead of main dining room, no library or quiet areas, gym bathroom not kept clean as well as other bathrooms, Martini bar area too small, No grand foyer
Review: We are used to Solstice Class ships. Therefore, felt the areas throughout ship were smaller & lacking. We were not aware when booking our cabin that it did not have an infinity veranda, therefore, rarely used small veranda.
I really liked the layout of the ship
Pros: I really liked the layout of the ship
Cons: Service was slow
Review: Captain Kate and Giuseppe were delightful
New ship
Pros: New ship
Cons: Nil
Review: Outstanding ship with extremely friendly staff. We had the pleasure to sail with Captain Kate Mccue (first female Captain) and her fantastic staff. From the various bars and restaurants, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Entertainment on board is somewhat limited but the late shows at night were incredible. We found two gold nuggets on board, the first one was Nazareth who took care of us like king, keeping our stateroom first class every times. The second gold nugget was Eva from the Cosmopolitan restaurant, she made us feel special every time we had the privilege to spend time with her. Will keep outstanding memories from this wonderful cruise.
size of ship
Pros: size of ship
Cons: issues with regard to theater shows. Early seating was to attend 9:30 show-the reason they are dinning early is not to wait til 9:30 to see a show/late seating went to early show but show didn't end til 8:30 when dinner was to begin at 8a
Review: loved the size of the ship but dinning was not wonderful and the inability to get to see but one show was disappointing. Loved the days at sea but would have liked one more port(that was different from the usual).
The entertainment was awesome with lots of choices for everyone. The food was excellent. Great service in the dining areas. The decor was like nothing we had seen before.
Pros: The entertainment was awesome with lots of choices for everyone. The food was excellent. Great service in the dining areas. The decor was like nothing we had seen before.
Cons: The infinity verandah was not as we expected. Liked the extra room it provided, however once the window was open AC didn’t work. Would choose balcony going forward.
Review: Great value for the money. Loved the all inclusive. Evening shows outstanding. The design and decor was spectacular.
Infinite balcony window open made cabin feel like a beachfront cabana
Pros: Infinite balcony window open made cabin feel like a beachfront cabana
Cons: Captain can lock the balcony window and salt blocked the view 7 of 9 days
Review: Beautiful ship and good for those who are looking for a different onboard vibe, limited seating outside in true shade, food was good, entertainment was on par with other ships but I found the musicians sub par, I was surprised by the excellent coffee in the buffet: Lavazza, no promenade deck, jogging track went up from deck 15 to 16 and back down again, activities were unexciting unless you like trivia and pool games, Magic Carpet does not move when you're on it for drinks or dinner, Magic Carpet dinner was $95 and only available twice in 9 days (book asap if you are interested!), Le Petit Chef specialty dining was delightful: $55, there are no drawers in the single infinite balcony room and all singles are right above the life boats, your iPhone can control the room and TV if you download the app, the tour app requires a 3D device, Select dining (any time) usually had to wait for a table if arrived at dining room during the 7:00 hour, the Eden room was smaller than I expected with limited seating to watch the show unless you eat there.
Everything was great
Pros: Everything was great
Cons: None
Review: We loved the ship. It was a beautifully decorated ship. Our cabin was absolutely beautiful and very spacious. The entertainment was terrific. We especially enjoyed the Performances of the Singing and Dancing. The other entertainment was also very good. Food in the Dining Room and the OceanView were delicious. The ship staff from top to bottom were friendly and would go out of their way to please.
Retreat area Room
Pros: Retreat area Room
Cons: Theatre entertainment on some of the nights.
Review: Booked on the Apex. Spoiled by The retreat area
Loved the new balcony and bathroom. There was plenty of space for our clothes. Staff was great.
Pros: Loved the new balcony and bathroom. There was plenty of space for our clothes. Staff was great.
Cons: Shore excursions were iffy.
Review: There were lots of places to settle in and get comfortable. Almost didn't miss the library. Entertainers were great. There seemed to be lots of space for everyone. We never had trouble finding a seat or a bathroom. We love the attention to details, such as directional signs, lights indicating the direction of elevators, restrooms, etc.
Large cabin, large bathroom, lots of outdoor spaces
Pros: Large cabin, large bathroom, lots of outdoor spaces
Cons: High end shops rather than souvenir options
Review: Beautiful ship
Service, dining, entertainment

Review: This was our 1st cruise, and it's hard to imagine a better experience. The entire staff was clearly focused on customer service. We couldn't have asked for better - highly recommend the Celebrity Edge!
Infinite Veranda, Shore Excuresions, casino, amazing food choices and tastes, Stateroom Attendant
Pros: Infinite Veranda, Shore Excuresions, casino, amazing food choices and tastes, Stateroom Attendant
Cons: Need Premium Drink Package and Internet Package a must
Review: Our first ever cruise and we wanted to do Greece and Italy. It was so amazing and a trip of a lifetime we will never forget. The only complaint, some of the shore excursions were so packed at stops, we didn't have enough time to shop or eat. Especially when Celebrity had several buses going to the same place and other cruise lines were there at the same port and destinations! These need to be stagered and add more or different stops.
Brand new ship. Great dining.
Pros: Brand new ship. Great dining.
Cons: None.
Review: Infinite Verandah was great. Cabins seemed much larger. Staff was great. Food was above my expectations.
Fantastic Service

Review:
Gorgeous Ship with plenty to do for adults looking for a cruise with little to no kids. Infinite Veranda Stateroom is perfect for 2 and a great view. Plenty of food options and restuarants to dine in. Staff is friendly and helpful. Excursion options at each port. Excellent Spa and Solarium services. Theatre entertainment was fun and enjoyable. Fitness zone to get your exercise.

Cons: The shower does not drain well and floods around the toilet. If you want a cruise to bring your kids, I wouldn't recommend this ship. Limited stuff for kids. Plenty for adults. Getting aboard the ship was easy. Disembarkment was a mess. Once you get off the ship, there are no signs to direct you to Celebrity transfers to get to the airport. Staff outside seemed completely lost as well. Very frustrating. Onboard shops are very expensive and wish they offered more options that were affordable. Blu and Luminae are only open to The Retreat and Suite members. Wish Celebrity explained more about what is inclusive with your cruise package and what is not. We were a bit confused the first day being first time cruisers. The Celebrity App does not always work very well and we ended just calling Guest services to make reservations. If you want Internet on board it is costly and it doesn't connect well.
Review: For a first time cruise we were very happy with Celebrity Edge! Would definitely sail away again on this ship.
New decor, lots of outside seating, food and dining, new theater design.
Pros: New decor, lots of outside seating, food and dining, new theater design.
Cons: Infinite veranda, Eden lounge, Magic Carpet

Celebrity's High Level of Service; Visual Appeal
Pros: Celebrity's High Level of Service; Visual Appeal
Cons: See Comments
Review: "Infinite" balcony is NOT a balcony; it is a sitting room with a big window. It can't be used "after hours" as shade is drawn from a central location and can't be opened at night. Theatre is too small for the size of the ship. Its circular stage and visual effects are impressive, however it has only about 860 seats. That is an effective capacity of about 1,700 for two performances on a ship with 2,800 to 2,900 passengers. Some performances were Standing Room Only, for which the cruise director apologized more than once. One of the shows could only be characterized as hard rock in an effort to appeal to a younger demographic. Don't they realize that 40-somethings have children and there are no attractions such as water slides, surf simulation, ice skating, and rock climbing that would be appropriate for children? All the show did was alienate Celebrity's 60-something plus base. Fewer, but larger elevators, which means that every elevator ride will include stops at nearly every deck. Shopping is limited to high-end jewelry. Cruise ship shopping is generally impulse-based. Passengers do not shop at Bulgari, Cartier, and Tiffany on impulse. Bulova and Citizen watches were available from push cart format venues. That was condescending to those who may have purchased popular-priced watches. No game room and no library. Passengers play cards and read in eating areas. Top end specialty restaurant (Eden) is focussed more on its novelty show with costumed characters than on a solid dining experience. It is not worth a subsequent visit with a $65.00 cover charge. It does not compare to Murano on Solstice class ships at $50.00. Fine Cut Steak House is comparable to Tuscan Grille on Solstice class ships, but why is it $55.00 vs. $45.00 for Tuscan Grille? In conclusion, this was NOT A BAD cruise. Every Celebrity enthusiast should experience this ship. BUT, as long as the Solstice class is available, that is where I'll cruise.
The vessel is beautiful & there was a warm feeling. Staff made us feel part of the family
Pros: The vessel is beautiful & there was a warm feeling. Staff made us feel part of the family
Cons: It took too long to disembark. Passengers we’re getting very upset
Review:
beautiful public spaces, superb food and service
Pros: beautiful public spaces, superb food and service
Cons: new infinite verandah is just a window
Review: I love this new ship's public spaces - airy, modern, spacious, beautifully designed and appointed. The cabins themselves are also lovely. BUT - the new highly-touted 'infinite verandah' is nothing more than a floor-to-ceiling window that opens. The far end of the cabin has a small space defined by folding clear glass doors that delineate the 'verandah' space. It holds two deck chairs and a small table. Then there's the window, with a shade that pulls up and down by pushbutton. So, you cannot go out on the verandah to see the view without flooding the entire room with light. And since there's a ceiling as well as side walls, it's really just a window. Disappointing! I would sail on this ship again, but I wouldn't pay a premium for it.
