Emirates First Class Lounge

Written by Wednesday, 28 February 2018

Talk about a Bucket List trip!  Today I am departing for Dubai for four days, then off to Malta in the middle of the Mediterranean and then off to Amsterdam to meet up with friends and fellow Travel Industry leaders for a week sailing on AmaWaterways!

Two items will be checked off my bucket list this trip.  First of all is flying Emirates to Dubai in a Private Suite!  I fell in love with the Airbus A380 when flying Singapore Airlines to Australia - also in a Suite, but ever since I learned Emirates has a SHOWER for Suite guests it was added to my list!  The other item is a trip to Malta.  Ever since meeting some amazing people on a Crystal Cruise over 10 years ago I have been dying to go.  George and Helen lived in Australia, but where Maltese and spun the greatest stories and spoke so highly of Malta.  We became friends over the years and I always promised I would travel to Malta.  George passed away a few years ago, but I was lucky enough to visit Helen on my trip to Australia two years ago and I promised again I would make it to Malta.  This seemed like the right time!

But I digress!  I arrived at LAX about 4 hours early as I really wanted to experience some time in the lounge.  I am actually sitting in the lounge now, enjoying some Veuve Clicquot Champagne and writing this post.  I love my mobile lifestyle and the ability to connect almost anywhere in the work and do my job!  I am able to speak with clients, work with our amazing vendors, communicate with my team and work on amazing vacations.

The First Class experience started when I arrived at the Tom Bradley Terminal and Emirates has a dedicated line for the only 14 Suite Guests - virtually guaranteeing no line!

I was whisked through security and introduced to the private Lounge, with multiple bars, beautiful seating areas and a full restaurant to take care of any needs.  I opted for some bubbly and settled in to take care of a few emails I received and send this quick post.

Stay tuned!  I will be posting throughout the trip with tips, hotel reviews, details of my adventures and pictures!
