In 1981, I deposited a cruise and gave it to Doug for Father’s day (of course he had to pay for the rest), but we became absolutely hooked on cruise vacations. Since Doug is more adventuresome than I am, cruising allowed us to travel the world while having clean, comfortable accommodations and great familiar food! Growing up on a ranch in Eastern Nevada, I would never have imagined a life where I have walked on all seven continents, been to 100 countries and 120 plus cruises.
We opened Cruise Holidays of Las Vegas in 1994 and when I retired from the Clark County School District in 1995, I began managing the agency. Fast forward through two names changes (Holiday Cruises and Tours and now Legendary World) recessions and pandemics – amazingly we are still here! Our longevity is based on our commitment to employ outstanding travel advisors who provide friendly, knowledgeable, personalized service. Our continued growth is attributed to our amazing clients who continually refer friends and family.
Doug and I are now winding down our ownership responsibilities as Scott Caddow – longtime friend and luxury travel advisor, becomes the sole owner in 2023. While aging out of full time work, the passion for travel is still alive and well. We will continue to host groups and assist Scott as he gets to know all of our clients. I can’t image a day when the mind and heart will not want to continue being involved in travel, but I would imagine there may come a day when the body says no more! Until that day, I look forward to working with Scott at Legendary World.
