London (Southampton) | Wednesday, Sep 10, 2025 | Wednesday, Sep 10, 2025 |
London is known worldwide as an entertainment capital, a center for the arts, a center of rich and varied heritage, a 'green' city, and waterfront attraction center. The city is alive with theaters, clubs, pubs, casinos and entertainment venues, making it a day or night out to remember. Southampton is the main regional centre for the arts, offering quality, variety and choice. Southampton has a rich and varied heritage, five excellent museums covering all aspects of the city's past and the remains of the medieval town walls. Southampton's rich heritage of parks and open spaces make it probably 'the Greenest City in the UK'. Whether it's shopping, eating out or taking in great events, there's always something to see and do on the attractive waterfront.
St. Peter Port (Guernsey) | Thursday, Sep 11, 2025 | Thursday, Sep 11, 2025 |
St. Peter Port is situated hillside overlooking the picturesque harbor of Guernsey. Brightly painted houses, granite stairs and cobbled lanes climb the hill, providing great views of the port and medieval castle. Among St. Peter's Church's former residents were Guernsey's Royalist Lieutenant Governor, and French and German occupation forces. Enjoy the idyllic countryside or stroll narrow streets of pretty St. Peter Port, enjoying the ambiance making Guernsey special. Town Church - found on the waterfront - is a 12th-century granite church. From the 18th century, the assembly of Market Halls stocked with the region’s produce are wonderful for browsing and taking photos. An excellent display traces Guernsey history. The Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery houses Lukis archaeological collection and Wilfred Carey collection of paintings, prints and cereamics. Descending from the museum are beautiful Candie Gardens laid out in 1898 with exotic plants. German Underground Hospital is a complex of tunnels memorialized to many forced laborers who worked on it.
Rouen | Friday, Sep 12, 2025 | Friday, Sep 12, 2025 |
Settled by the Celts, Rouen really flourished in the Middle Ages. In a natural amphitheater on the Seine, the capital of Normandy is important as a commercial and cultural center. Today the city is a blend of ancient and modern. Rouen is known as the City of a Hundred Spires; many of its important edifices are churches. The most magnificent one is the Cathedral of Notre Dame, a masterpiece of French Gothic architecture immortalized in Claude Monet's series "Cathedrales de Rouen." Surrounding the large square are picturesque half-timbered houses with steeply pointed roofs. The wealth of architectural treasures and the ambience of Rouen’s historic center will impress any visitor. Exploring the narrow, cobbled streets in the old quarter is a must. The giant clock above the archway spanning the Rue du Gros Horloge is a focal point and famous emblem. Rouen is connected to the sea by the Seine Valley. The city serves as a starting point for trips to Paris and to Norman castles and abbeys.

Honfleur | Sunday, Sep 14, 2025 | Sunday, Sep 14, 2025 |
The peaceful setting of the picturesque port of Honfleur along the estuary of the Seine attracted many artists and writers over the years, including Impressionist Painters. Throughout its history, numerous maritime journeys were initiated from Honfleur. It's a place of great historic charm, notably around the Vieux Bassin, where lofty slate-and-timber fronted houses overlook the colorful yacht and fishing harbor, and sloping cobbled streets recall 16th century Honfleur. Not to be missed are the 15th century wooden church and the Impressionist paintings of the Musee Eugene Boudin. From here it is possible to visit Monet's Garden, Arromanches, the Normandy Landing Beaches and if there is time, Paris.
St. Malo | Monday, Sep 15, 2025 | Monday, Sep 15, 2025 |
Saint Malo is a prime tourist destination in Brittany. Visitors flock to Saint Malo to experience the unique "intra-muros" (meaning within the walls) streets of the old citadel. Visit Saint Vincent Cathedral, noted for its medieval and modern stained glass windows. The museum in Château de Saint Malo has exhibits illustrating the city's prosperous time during its heydays of piracy, colonialism and slave trading. The ramparts afford great views over the roof tops and harbor. Saint Malo also serves as a gateway for excursions to legendary Mont Saint Michel - with the Abbey of Mont Saint Michel and its ensemble of buildings soaring high above the sea. As amazing as the abbey itself are extraordinary tide variations that leave the mount to look out on stretches of bare sand at low tide, while the same expanse of land is submerged during high tide. South of Saint Malo is the medieval town of Dinan. Once totally surrounded by ramparts, 14 towers and a good part of the walls are still standing, encircling beautiful 15th-century timbered houses.

Bilbao | Saturday, Sep 20, 2025 | Saturday, Sep 20, 2025 |
Bilbao, the capital of Vizcaya Province, lies seven miles from the sea and has a coastline featuring rocks and steep cliffs, creeks and small estuaries; small fishing villages nestle in the inlets below green hills. The port of Bilbao is the largest in Spain and is built against the mountains. The city's fine museums include Fine Arts Museum and Guggenheim Museum. The Guggenheim Bilbao Museum is devoted to American and European art of the 20th century. The Fine Arts Museum specializes in paintings by Spanish masters. Our Lady of Begona Church is a 16th-century church on a hill with a good view of the city and valley. Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art is located in an old convent of Dominican nuns, a 16th-century, L-shaped cloister housing this fine museum with an outstanding exhibit of silversmiths' crafts that is one of the best collections in Spain. The Bullfighting Museum shows interesting bullfighting paraphernalia, such as costumes, photographs of famous toreros and a collection of posters. La Coruna, Spain | Monday, Sep 22, 2025 | Monday, Sep 22, 2025 |
La Coruna is the largest city in Spain's Galicia region and among the country's busiest ports. Today the city's significant expansion is evident in its three distinct quarters: the Ciudad (City), and town center located along the isthmus; the business and commercial center with wide avenues and shopping streets; and the Ensanche to the South, built up with industry. La Coruna's beautiful main square, Plaza Maria Pita, has many buildings in the old section which feature characteristic glazed facades, which have earned La Coruna the name City of Crystals. Santiago de Compostela is located only 37 miles from La Coruna. The City is the original town with narrow, cobbled streets and quaint squares. Avenida de la Marina, running parallel to the waterfront, is lined by typical tall houses with glazed balconies at every floor. Mendez Nunez Gardens lie between the harbor and Los Cantones in a bustling quarter of the city. Once used as a prison, San Anton Castle now houses the Military and Archaeological Museum. The Roman lighthouse Hercules Tower is said to be the oldest in Europe.

Lisbon | Wednesday, Sep 24, 2025 | Wednesday, Sep 24, 2025 |
Portugal’s capital is an 18th-century city - elegant, open to the sea and carefully planned. Most places of interest are within easy walking distance. Rossio Square, the heart of Lisbon since medieval times, is an ideal place to start exploring. Many rebuilt houses with original façades provide stores and restaurants with modern interiors. High above Baixa is Bairro Alto - with its teeming nightlife. There are many monuments and museums, such as San Jeronimos Monastery, Royal Coach Museum and Gulbenkian Museum. Two well-known landmarks are the Monument to the Discoveries and the Tower of Belem. A statue of Christ looms above Europe’s longest suspension bridge. Madragoa, Bica and Bairro Alto, Lisbon’s older sections, offer a variety of sights: the Church of Sao Roque, with its beautiful tiles; St. George Castle, which offers a splendid view from its location above the Alfama quarter; the botanical gardens, featuring an unusual, cold greenhouse; and the cathedral, stunning with its Moorish design. Renowned Gulbenkian Museum is the cultural center of Portugal. |

Great service
Pros: Great service
Cons: 2018 renovation
Review: I would like the spin bikes inside. They couldn’t be used when it was cold or rocky because they were outside. The ship could probably soon use a renovation. I think it was 2018 last time it was refurbished.

Cons: Public spaces were a bit warm
Review: I was fortunate to sample all of the Dining venues and enjoyed them all. SeiShin was a wonderfully delicious surprise and probably my favorite. The variety in Indochine was also wonderful. Room was very comfortable and kept spotless by our cabin steward. I did not really make use of the Butler service, except for coffee delivery on a few mornings. Entertainment crew put on several terrific shows. In addition, local acts were brought onboard. The Irish stepdancers and the Scottish Highland dancers and bagpipers were fantastic. I really enjoyed the great piano/vocalist duo in the Silver Note.
Included excursions, pampered treatment, restful environment, great ports and overnight stay in Sorrento
Pros: Included excursions, pampered treatment, restful environment, great ports and overnight stay in Sorrento
Cons: one show per night
Review: My Mediterranean cruise on the Silver Spirit was amazing. I felt pampered from the minute I stepped on to the ship. Boarding a small cruise ship of about 600 passengers was so different than boarding a giant cruise ship. It was calm, quick and easy. Having a butler was something I never thought I would experience, but it was delightful. Shore excursions are included and we got to choose between several in each port. All our guides were wonderful and having the excursions included saved us a lot of money! Small ship cruising is definitely the way to go. Silversea gets my vote.
Silversea Cruises includes free shore excursions. The ship's complementary wines, (and wine service),were exemplary, and well-appreciated by the guests.
Pros: Silversea Cruises includes free shore excursions. The ship's complementary wines, (and wine service),were exemplary, and well-appreciated by the guests.
Cons: Only 3 Guest Entertainers for a 15-day cruise. Only four "orchestra" musicians. Too many formal and informal nights. Very sub-standard/problematic TV remote controls. Only (Silversea) ship to have ONE unisex sauna, steam room, shower (with no lockers). No stateroom night lights. No afternoon tea.

Butler, all-inclusivity, intimate ships, quiet, the room service setup with table, tablecloth and cutlery was a joyous find!
Pros: Butler, all-inclusivity, intimate ships, quiet, the room service setup with table, tablecloth and cutlery was a joyous find!
Cons: not all excursions are included, not all dining venues are included, shows could use a bit more pizazz

Cons: really nothing
Review: I would highly recommend Silversea to anyone - this was my first cruise and it was incredible.
Spacious rooms and delicious restaurants
Pros: Spacious rooms and delicious restaurants
Cons: Entertainment was sub-par.
Review: Staterooms were quite spacious with walk-in closets and bathtubs. The dining rooms were outstanding. Because of that, the specialty restaurants couldn't justify the additional charge. The shows were poorly attended, and there wasn't anything to do after dinner.
Service
Pros: Service
Cons: Restaurant confusion
Review: Suites were large and well appointed, LOTS of storage. Service impeccable. I think they have too many restaurants, and they have an image problem with Indochine which was the 2nd of the 'open' (non reservation) restaurants. The decor was contemporary, not what we want for a fine dining restaurant. Nobody wanted to go there, even with great service, they wanted Atlantide. I would also like entertainment at other times of the day than 9:30 at night. The performers were wonderful. More events on board during the day would be nice, not just games. But, we had no sea days so not as much going on

Pros: Superb service, delicious food, good entertainment, very good variety of excursions.
Cons: Perhaps a little more education on the geography of the area we sailed.
Review: The service and courtesy provided by the crew far exceeded anything we have experienced before. The quality of the food and drinks were such that it may be quite some time before we can regain our previous weight.

Everything was wonderful . And I didn't gain any weight!
Pros: Everything was wonderful . And I didn't gain any weight!
Cons: ONLY small issue was the way the toilet paper holder was installed. I made the ship's hotel manager aware of this.
Review: The enlarged ship provided more dining options and they were all wonderful. The ship, crew, personalization, and shore excursions were great!. I did suggest to the bar manager to include Rye and Anejo tequilla.
Service, Ship, Suite, Food, itinerary, all most excellent.
Pros: Service, Ship, Suite, Food, itinerary, all most excellent.
Cons: Only one bad thing of note is how poor the Wi-fi internet service works.
Review: Other than the Wi-fi being bulky and the ridiculous charge for second users, the rest of the trip was magnificent. The ship is beautiful as was our suite. Specific crew members including our butler and housekeeper were top notch. Dining at Silver Note and La Terrazza were specifically noted. A great experience overall!
large cabins, attentive staff/crew, caviar available complimentary, multi dining venues included
Pros: large cabins, attentive staff/crew, caviar available complimentary, multi dining venues included

Totally refurbished, attentive staff, fine dining, all-inclusive.
Pros: Totally refurbished, attentive staff, fine dining, all-inclusive.
Cons: Group dinner service is much slower than table for two.
Review: The all-suite Silver Spirit is fresh with lots of light. Art-deco with cream/beige decor. Amazing crew, always nearby ready to take on any requests. Service was quick and always with a friendly smile. Suites are beautiful, well-appointed, teak verandas, mini-fridge is stocked with your personal favorite wine, liquor and soft drinks. Bathrooms have a bathtub and separate shower with fabulous huge towels. The beds are very comfortable... The pool deck is large with plenty of chairs for everyone. Good size pool, three hot tubs. Dining options are abundant. La Terazza was my favorite for dinner. Delicious pasta; also has the best lunch buffet I have ever seen with fresh salads, seafood, meat, vegetables, the works. The Grill provides personal grilling experience on the pool deck for dinner. 540 mature, well-traveled, active guests.

Great ports
Pros: Great ports
Cons: tour vendor for
Review: It was a great cruise. The staff are helpful and friendly. The ports were GREAT! The excursions that we took were interesting with the exception of the Baths. An interesting place in it's own right, but excursion was too long, and "guides" were virtually non-existent.
Amazing food and service, great accomodations and crew that will do whatever it takes to please guests.
Pros: Amazing food and service, great accomodations and crew that will do whatever it takes to please guests.
Cons: None
Review: Everything seems to fall into place on the Silver Spirit. The ship was recently renovated and the results are wonderful. Public areas as comfortable and there never seems to be a crowd in any one place as there as multiple lounges and places where you can just hide out.
Wonderful ship, fabulous service, beautiful itinerary, great cuisine.
Pros: Wonderful ship, fabulous service, beautiful itinerary, great cuisine.
Cons: guest relations seemed as though they could use more training.
Review: We really enjoyed the restaurants Hot Rocks and Atlantide. The servers were fabulous. Our classic verandah suite was very clean and beautiful. Our butler was great! Their shore excursion department was also very knowledgeable and helpful. I do feel however that their guest relations could use a little help.
Ship size, butler service, friendly staff, many dining venues

Review: I thought the Silversea Cruise was very good. The ship was medium size for a cruise ship but the voyage was smooth and we were on time in every port. The crew were very helpful as we disembarked from the ship at every port. My cabin 1006 was excellent. My wife and I really enjoyed the cabin, Very comfortable and plenty of room. Storage of bags and clothing was no problem. I would recommend a voyage with Silverseas and I would go on another.......

Food
Pros: Food
Cons: Senior Staff
Review: Senior staff absent except for Louis Alberts, Points for prizes and art for sale is something that belongs on Carnival, not Silversea, Sewer smell in Suite 646, Shop merchandise was poor and no personal shopper, bring back Philip, Connoisseurs bottle package was 1 per day, used to be 3 per voyage, this is ridiculous I would have spent more on 3 bottles than others did on 10 bottles More info needed prior to sailing I booked le Champagne and thus could not attend Venetian society party, Spa use an up charge use of sauna etc should be included had to wait for tenders used only two passenger on 5 star line should not have to wait, Plastic glasses, CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP cut out one port due to propeller damage but next voyage went on as scheduled, what propeller damage this was a lie, no compensation to passengers no transport to town on certain ports long walk unless you were on a shore excursion poor show Buffet should be served by staff not self serve this is a health hazard. Service Stars***** Dennis the Sommelier, Yuri, Rao Mellisa Gerson Jeffrey the servers Richard at the gangway, Ryan, Hilda cabin steward and Dorothy the butler also noticed ship hull was rusty never saw this prior
