Cons: 1 poor anytime restaurant, bad service in 2 specialty restaurants, poor check in and check out service
Review: One bag got lost on arrival, a second bag got lost on departure, had to take a cab to the airport on departure due to delay caused by lost bag. Main theatre does not have a loop system for hard of hearing persons.
Smaller ship. Easier to get around
Pros: Smaller ship. Easier to get around
Cons: Not as much to do as far as physical activities.

Friendly, quaint, clean, adult-themed

good food, outstanding staff and service
Pros: good food, outstanding staff and service
Cons: small cabins, ramps to get on and off too strenuous,
Review: was disappointed that we did not get to cocacay. Think they should have a "plan B" in place when they have to deviate from schedule. Could have spent that day in the sun at Nassau.
Excellent staff and food
Pros: Excellent staff and food
Cons: Limited activities for teens
Review: We LOVED our cruise on the Grandeur of the Seas to Bermuda! One of our best vacations so far. The staff on Grandeur of the Seas were exceptional! They went above and beyond to make sure you had everything you needed and were very helpful. The food was delicious! Lots of variety! I would highly recommend this cruise ship, as well as a trip to Bermuda. Bermuda is absolutely beautiful! A must see!
Length of cruise, city of embarkation
Pros: Length of cruise, city of embarkation
Cons: Overall general service, food, entertainment, activities
Review: Most of our cruising experience has been on Princess ships and while the Granduer of the Seas was ok it doesn’t compare to the higher level of service, food, entertainment and activities offered by Princess.
Pros: No Pros

Review: the entertainement was wonderful the food was great and the staff were very kind to us has usual what else to say we had a wonderful and plaisant cruise thank you!!!!!
Our wonderful cabin steward Gede, Debbie from the Centrum bar and Arturo and Maxmus from the diningroom.
Pros: Our wonderful cabin steward Gede, Debbie from the Centrum bar and Arturo and Maxmus from the diningroom.
Cons: poor service in the Schooner bar.. walking the long piers at the ports
Review: the hardship of walking those long piers at the ports of call. Other cruise lines have provided transport to the buses and shopping. It was very difficult. for me.Made me wonder if I could continue to cruise.. I actually had my first massage on a ship and had my nails done at the Spa also! We traveled with another couple we met on a previous .cruise 2 years ago... We found the noise level of the music everywhere just a bit over the top...By the end of the day we were grateful for the quiet of our stateroom..We enjoyed the .Excursions for the beaches(.so beautiful ),the staff very pleasant..The crew was very welcoming..
Smaller ship. Very friendly staff. Very accommodating.
Pros: Smaller ship. Very friendly staff. Very accommodating.
Cons: Very small bathroom in storeroom. Smoking in the walk-through casino. Only way to avoid casino is to go to the next deck up or down.
Review: GOS wasn't responsible for the extremely rough seas on day 8.

Excellent staff
Pros: Excellent staff
Cons: Ship needs some maintenance
Review: I give 10 of 10 to our culinary staff of Jose Pacheco and Lucas Rodriguez and our stateroom (8532) person Laura, also to Kamla Ramnauth in Guest services.
The staff on the cruise were great, friendly and helpful in all aspects. Food was good and the activities were great.
Pros: The staff on the cruise were great, friendly and helpful in all aspects. Food was good and the activities were great.
Cons: The line should offer FREE Internet service and also less after guests to sign up for the various offerings.
Review: The dining room staff were great, very professional and also the room service. The shows and activities were also very good. The excursions were very interesting and had great guides and bus drivers for the excursions. The best stops for me were Bar Harbor and Halifax. Interesting to meet more guests with the open sitting for the breakfast times.
Extremely friendly staff; ship = just the right size; plenty to do on board; full breakfast on the final, departure morning
Pros: Extremely friendly staff; ship = just the right size; plenty to do on board; full breakfast on the final, departure morning
Cons: No cranberry juice at breakfast; Cococay Island (see comments)
Review: We stayed on board with the Keasts the morning that the ship visited their island. Turns out, we made the RIGHT decision! We essentially had the ship to ourselves, and everyone who went ashore complained: it was hot and crowded, with long lines; plus, you have to take a boat to shore and back. So grateful that we made the decision that we did!
Great Ports
Pros: Great Ports
Cons: Mattresses need replaced
Review: Great variety in activities on board and excursions. Raj, serving table #584, early dining, was superb in every way, every night!
staff, food, shows
Pros: staff, food, shows
Cons: length of trip
Review: Just a personal thing for us, but we probably would not travel on a cruise of this length again. Maybe a 5 day trip.
The size of the ship is managable and preferable to the larger ships that Royal Caribbean has to offer.
Pros: The size of the ship is managable and preferable to the larger ships that Royal Caribbean has to offer.
Cons: None that come to mind.
Review: We had a great trip; the ship is manageable. The excursions were well planned and a offered a variety that met most people's choices. The ship's crew and staff were outstanding, and well organized as to boarding and disembarking procedures. Small mishaps such as the temporary early morning lack of water, 4-6am on the second day out did not mar the outing. Problems will occur and this was manageable. Captain kept us informed about potential weather problems and handled two occasions when passengers had to be picked up by helicopter off Cape Hatteras and once again entering the Chesapeake Bay by patrol boat extremely well. We were on time at all ports.
Good food, plenty to do, great smaller ship so easy to move around on, great staff too.
Pros: Good food, plenty to do, great smaller ship so easy to move around on, great staff too.
Cons: Tobacco Smoke from casino creeps out into lobby area, hard to find a seat in the centrum area and for shows. Go early. The Solarium is suppose to be for those 16 and older, had children in there several times through the week.
Review: Had a great time. More kids than what I like to have on a trip (Over a 100) My Time Dining was great. First time using it. Did not feel rushed to get there. Service was wonderful. Have to have patience for there are many older adults (I am one of them too), some move slower and tend to block the paths of walking.
Comfort of ship, excellent crew, excellent food, Great time at private beach
Pros: Comfort of ship, excellent crew, excellent food, Great time at private beach
Cons: 7 days just a tad to long for working people
Review: Excellent Vacation
Great itinerary, junior suite had unbelievable amount of storage. Balcony nice size, had 3 chairs and table height andsize round table on balcony. Room had 2 0verstuffed chairs plus couch that was a possible double bed. Two ottomans also that offered more storage possibility. Safe was in a convient location to operate, which is my always been the case.
Pros: Great itinerary, junior suite had unbelievable amount of storage. Balcony nice size, had 3 chairs and table height andsize round table on balcony. Room had 2 0verstuffed chairs plus couch that was a possible double bed. Two ottomans also that offered more storage possibility. Safe was in a convient location to operate, which is my always been the case.
Cons: seebelow for excursion comments. Main dining room had limited dining choices . Seating in main dining room cramped together in some places. No pens Or paper in desk. E were far enough away that the noise, (music) in atrium did not bother us at night..
Review: On purpose we were testing the description of effort and distance of excursions. The 7anda half hourBoston, Lexington concord and Harvard was nouted .25 mile walking. The back bay harbor stop was much more. It was uphill, around the church, around the area and then backdown on the other side. Much more than.25 mile, not flat and cobblestone. Interesting and we did it slow but still would be too much for some folks. All the other excursions I took could have been easily handled by folks. On the lighthouse tour the groundfloor of the boat was comfortable, warm, and you could see the shore easily. ALl the other excursions we took could have been enjoyed by those with limited mobility. The Windjammer buffet I enjoyed. I loved being able to pick and choose menu items. The variety was much better than the dining room.some dishes could have been a little warmer. The soup variety was outstanding lunch and dinner. I have never had such hot coffee anywhere, including my own kitchen. I am looking forward to having the Geneva alumni trip onboard next year. One could only hope for such perfect weather as we had. Smooth seas Sunny days and 80 degrees in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We even had The Blue angels practicing for their Fleet Week air show , while we were still docked and doing our safety drills. I think I prefer a smaller ship but I adjusted. The distance to the elevators for events kept us in good physical condition. We were aft.
Smaller ship, less people, better ratio cres to passengers
Pros: Smaller ship, less people, better ratio cres to passengers
Cons: No mini golf - ought to figure out a way to do that.
Review: As has been usual for Royal Caribbean ships (our 4th combined) great service, cabin stewards and dining room staff extremely friendly - makes you feel at home and very important. Somewhere around 1200 passengers and 800 crew - can check on that for exact figures. Really nice entertainment, ship is clean and stays that way. Don't expect to win at the casino - I'm guessing payouts are really low compared to Vegas or Indian casinos. Wastes some time though, so you get what you pay for. Weather was great, enjoyed all but one of the ports and excursions (Boston, Portland and bar Harbor ME, Saint John and Halifax Canada - Portland I didn't like much) Go anyway - be treated like a King or Queen, food is great in dining room.
Easy ck in
Pros: Easy ck in
Cons: Could not hear announcements inside state room. I was not in the public areas at all times.
Review: I missed some updates because the announcements were not broadcast inside the state room. The shower curtain needs to be longer so the water does not go outside of the shower stall. The staff went above and beyond to assist. Channel 16 should also give the temperature. The late night cafe should stay open later. When you go to the Viking Lounge and have fun you may want to get a snack.
Kind staff, good food, fun things to do on ship
Pros: Kind staff, good food, fun things to do on ship
Cons: Not enough staff asking if anyone wanted drinks in the pool area. Guess would place towels on chairs early to reserve them and it left no space for other people. They would leave them on chairs for hours at a time and hardly be there until later in day.
Review: Have a more effective towel control on lounge chairs for reserving. Have more staff asking to serve drinks. Have free popcorn at the movies.
Headliners and production shows good. Good server staff in dining room. Good cabin attendant
Pros: Headliners and production shows good. Good server staff in dining room. Good cabin attendant
Cons: CAS benefits not honored consistently, Deceptive pricing, short staffed, rude personnel
Review: Will stop by your office to fill in the details and to deliver T-shirt
Friendly staff. Made several friends.
Pros: Friendly staff. Made several friends.
Cons: None to speak of.
Review: Fifth time on the Grandeur of the Seas. Love it..
Excellent time of year to have booked cruise for seeing fall foliage
Pros: Excellent time of year to have booked cruise for seeing fall foliage
Cons: The cruise gift shop did not display souvenirs daily for purchase; Example: The seaglass and watches were only brought out twice while on the cruise.
Review: Even though we had anytime dining, we could not make 2 of the nightly shows due to getting back late from excursions.
food good, service really good, care of our room great, plenty of seats all over and rooms, as expected, small but plenty of cleverly designed storage space
Pros: food good, service really good, care of our room great, plenty of seats all over and rooms, as expected, small but plenty of cleverly designed storage space
Cons: Time in port was way too small. Pretrip information lacking in content and in a usable format.
Review: The cruse was nice:. food good, service really good, care of our room great, plenty of seats all over and rooms, as expected, small but plenty of cleverly designed storage space The material we recieved before the trip was seriously lacking. It did not include things we have come to expect like details about what to bring, what to wear, information to make it possible to plan excursions in advance, a general description of what the weather and daily routine will be like . The tiny website we did recieve had lots of information on an awkard and difficult to use platform with information that could not be copied for planning.
ALL WONDERFUL
Pros: ALL WONDERFUL
Cons: No Cons
Review: WE ALL HAD A WONDERFUL TIME- FOOD YUM - SERVICE GREAT-BEACHES BEAUTIFUL
Good food, courteous staff, comfortable accomodations
Pros: Good food, courteous staff, comfortable accomodations
Cons: No free wifi, noisy passengers, limited entertainment offerings
Review: We booked this cruise to Bermuda with another couple. If drinking, partying, and eating around the clock are your thing, then this cruise is for you! We were able to find quieter areas around the ship, but they were at a premium and many times returned to our stateroom balcony to relax and watch the ocean which became rather boring after awhile. Too many days at sea with no land, no other ships, not even a seagull or two passing by to alleviate the sameness. If there had been an opportunity to borrow movies to watch in the room or to engage in a few activities that were not insanely frivolous would have been nice. That said, the food in the dining room is good, service is exemplary, and the ship is clean, even if a tad shopworn-looking.
Pros: No Pros
Cons: No Cons
Review: Stateroom attendant - Evangeline Manzanero - was fantastic. She was very pleasant and a pleasure to talk to. Did an excellent job cleaning up after us, and checking and organizing our stateroom. She deserves an award. In general, all staff personnel, including waiters, waitresses, etc were excellent and very pleasant and helpful. Overall a great trip. We're looking at other cruises and trying to decide when and to where our next trip on Royal Caribbean will be. We'll be back soon.
Beautiful Part of the country. Breathtaken sceanery.
Pros: Beautiful Part of the country. Breathtaken sceanery.
Cons: Food was mediocquar. The Enexp[ected Boys best enternainment by far.
